This process creates a raised embossing to a pre-printed image.

When producing a registered emboss, the same guidelines should be followed as outlined in the blind embossing section, including the following:

Design Tips:

Supply the actual film negative used to form the printing plate for the registered embossed image.

Always supply correct guide and gripper information.  It is not recommended to print in multiple up form when the sheet will be required to be cut down for embossing.  When necessary, cutting the form in small lifts is essential for best results.

Attempting a deep multi-level or sculpted registered emboss is not recommended.  The ink (as well as some coated paper) will crack when stretched to far.  Registered embossing should remain single level or shallow for sculpted embossing.
